Base Plate
What is an Base Plate?
TA Base Plate is a critical scaffolding accessory used to provide a stable and level foundation for vertical scaffold standards (pipes or tubes). Placed at the bottom of the scaffold structure, the base plate helps distribute the load from the scaffold evenly onto the ground or surface below, ensuring overall system stability and safety. It acts as a support point, preventing the scaffold tubes from sinking into soft ground or damaging surfaces like concrete or tiles.
Base plates are typically made from high-strength steel and are available in various sizes and thicknesses to suit different load requirements. Most designs feature a flat square or rectangular plate with a central tube sleeve or welded spigot to securely hold the vertical tube in position. Some base plates are also equipped with holes or slots to allow for anchoring or bolting to the surface for additional safety.
